I got this off of my old blog. I wrote this when Laiken was three so it's hard to believe she is 6. But anyhow.
A Childs innocence is the sweetest thing in the world. From the moment you bring your child into the world you feel love that you have never felt before. The kind of love that never fades. The kind where your heart melts at every pucker of their little lips, every sound they make, the gasy face, the I am hungry cry. They start to annoy you some when they start walking, they get into all your stuff, color on furniture, break stuff, play in the potty, etc..but somewhere between all the bad stuff they do still lies the sweet innocence that only a child possesses. And its so so sweet when they tell you they are sorry and they love you when they've done something wrong. Even if you're still mad. The innocence can only last so long. It goes away as they get older so you have to cherish it while they are little because time flies. You cannot go back and repair damage done to a child, you can always say I wish I spent more time with my kids then, but you cant make them little again. My oldest is almost 5 years old and time has flown by. Live for the small stuff, laugh as much as possible and surround them with love and laughter. They are the greatest gifts God will ever give you. Last night my 3 year old daughter was in a deep sleep on the living room floor and I was laying on the couch and she rolled over got up and came and kissed me on the forehead. I asked her what she was doing and she said she had a dream to kiss me. Then she went and laid back down. I live for those moments. The moments that make me happy in this sad mean world.

Lazy Thursday.
Well, the kiddos are at home today from school due to an annoying cough that won't go away. Little C and Big C have been fighting all day, and the princess is a little whiny. I cleaned all morning and made the kids lunch, which seemed strange because it has been so long since I have made all three of them lunch at one time. Anyhow, I have enjoyed them all being with me even if they haven't been angels.
Lai got a new nightgown she loves for her Bday. It is made by mismatched, gotta love polka dots!

Oh, and today I took a pic of the pond in our backyard. I love the view, it's so peaceful.

Crab legs, Cupcakes, and flipflops.
I don't have time to blog much, but I am going to try harder to do it everyday. Anyhow, today is the princess' Bday, so it's a pinkalicious day around here! She is 6 today. I took cupcakes to her class today and she was thrilled. When I ordered her cake, I asked them if they could make some cupcakes to pick up for school. (Her party is not till Sat.) She picked out a tiara for her cake. (Imagine.) Also, she had asked me to make her a new pair of "scrappy flip flops" so I did today while she was at school today. She was so happy. She will not get her presents until her party. She has asked for a new bike, a daybed, and a trampoline. We shall see! We get cakes from Nana's Bakery in Benton. So if you live in Benton, check it out. It's in Lincoln Square.
Here she is eating her pink/purple polka dot cupcake.

Here are her pink flipflops I made her.

And the Bday princess Ta da!

Ok, and so I thought this was so cute. Scotty and I took the kids to eat @ Red Lobster when I was in Nashville last week and we asked the kids what they wanted to eat, and Caden said he wanted crab legs. But he never had them, and I was scared he wouldn't eat them but Daddy said he could have them. I was annoyed cause they were $9.00 on the kids menu. And three kids and a recession, I feel guilty letting my kid order crab legs. So he got them and LOVED them. He scraped those suckers clean! It was so cute so I broke out the camera!

So very blessed.
Sometimes it takes something tragic in someone else's life to realize what you have. I have three of the most beautiful, healthy children in the world. They are simply amazing and I love them to pieces. :)

Caden's Birthday
Caden turned 7 on Thurs. We had a party @ Party Central, the inflatable funhouse. I invited his whole class, knowing they wouldn't all come, but hoping at least a few would show. We had 6 come, plus 4 cousins...anyhow, so all the parents stayed except for one. She dropped her son off, and left. He was fine in the beginning, but I began to think he was trouble after he told me "to move my big fat butt"..my kids are no angels, trust me, but they would never say that to me. So we play for an hour in the bouncy part, then it's off to eat cake. After the kids are all seated, the little boy starts screaming at the top of his lungs. He jumps on the tables, knocking chairs down..I convinced him to sit. We light Caden's candles and the kid blows them out, Caden starts crying and the kid does it three times. My family was mortified, as were the other parents. We get him moved long enough for Caden to blow out his own candles. He eats his cake, then the kid starts tearing off the tablecloth. He ripped it to shreds, we are all trying to stop him, but he kicked and screamed. He tried to escape the building...the other parents and kids are all leaving because of this kid's behavior and one of them complained to the owner of the facility and so he called the kids mom and told her to come get her kid ASAP. I felt so bad for Caden. He was so frustrated. We will never ever forget this birthday.
