Mud Baths!!!

I feel kind of bad posting this..well sort of. I had to, it's funny now. Tonight Laiken had a ballgame and I knew the ballpark was gonna be a huge mud puddle, so I made the boys wear their rain boots. I thought it was a good idea, they could play and not get too wet. WRONG. I was SO wrong. Oh boy, was I wrong. I let them go off to play where I could keep an eye on them, but I did not realize what they were doing. They were rolling in the mud puddles then jumping in a huge dirt pile. I had to take them home and leave Lake there to catch a ride home with a friend. I was SOOOOO mad. Like I was not happy with them at all, because I warned them about jumping in mud puddles. And they didn't listen. And that doesn't make a happy mama, ya know? So, Caden especially was soaked to the bone with mud and water. Head to toe. I made them strip in the garage before they came in. And, they knew I was so disappointed. It was written all over their faces. So I made them stand there while I took their pic! I wanted to be able to remember it forever, ya know for the good times and the bad!! :)
Notice how sad they look :(

And, poor Caden.

Oh, and tonight I had plans to go through old pics and frame them. I have so many pics in boxes of the kids when they were little. So, as I was going through this one box, I found this book that I used to read to Caden when he was a baby. I have looked all over for this book. He still remembers it and talks about it. I can't wait to show him this book when he wakes up! But it is Just in Case you Ever Wonder by Max Lucado. He is a Christian author.

A few excerpts from the book:

And since you are so special, God wanted to put you in just the right home..where you would be warm when it's cold, where you'd be safe when you're afraid, where you'd have fun and learn about heaven. So after lots of looking for the right family, God sent you to me. And I'm so glad He did.

Good night to all and Happy Monday!

That was so funny though!! They had a good time. I made Carson strip down on the porch...he was like watching for cars "mom, I have to wait cause I would be like sooo embarrassed if someone saw me in my scooby doo underwear!" ha ha ha...and those poor boys...Camden just makes you want to rescue him! ha ha ha... he's so sweet! They both are!
