a story of faith

This is what you see when you walk in my garage door. It's such a SIMPLE reminder.

I'm sure most of you have heard the story of Brie Gomez. Her story touched me. Shook me. She blogged regularly about her family, husband and two girls, Mali and Eleri. They just had a trip to Disney World. She loved Jesus and its evident she was raising her girls in the way of the Lord. She blogged about Jesus, being a mama, chaos..you can see her sweet soul in her posts. She blogged even though not many people read her blog. God had a reason.
On December 26, her last post were the words to Forever Reign. She heard it at church that day, and it touched her. That was her last day here on earth.
Her family was involved in an accident on their way home to Amarillo. Brie was 30 weeks pregnant. Her family survived, but sadly brie died after an emergency c-section. Her son Curran, meaning champion is fighting in the NICU.
Brie is a testimony of faith, and 6 people are getting the chance to live because of her organs.
I read that although unconscious, Brie had a tear running down her cheek as she was wheeled to her C-section.
Her story is heartbreaking. But it has reminded me to SLOW down. Live each day with hope, and to live for Him.
Her blog is www.brieericandmaligomez.blogspot.com. I'm mobile blogging, or I would link it.
Curran has a caringbridge site. www.caringbridge.org/visit/currangomez.

Please pray for her family and sweet baby boy.

Ashley, I read Brie's story and have been thinking a lot about her and her family. I want you to know that I think of you at least once a day as well (and usually more) and keep you in my prayers. I had the same thought about slowing down.
Love you!

Thank you for sharing your heart, Ashley. I am so sorry about your precious daughter. You have been a huge encouragement to me. Thank you very much! You'll never know how much it means.

May the LORD hold you close every second of each day.
