Wacky Wednesday!

So what's going on with me?

1) RAIN! And more rain... all three kids are playing ball, so the muddy ballfields have been an issue and we have had three games cancelled in the last few days. I am ready for sunshine! (I can not tell you how many loads of muddy clothes I have washed in the last couple of weeks!)

2)So, yesterday we decided to put an offer on my dream house only to learn that it just went under contract. I guess someone else loved it, too! :( I am really sad about it, but I guess it's because there's something better out there and I already live in a fabulous house, so I am not gonna dwell over it.

3)I had no idea that this foster/adoption process with the state would take so long. She (the caseworker) had told me we needed to hurry up because of the amount of kids in our county in foster care had just risen. I am trying to become approved for both. The parents of the little girl we so love have not had their rights relinquished, but I know the dad does not want her and the mom is a meth user. So, we need to become foster parents. Besides that, who knows what other precious child may come in our lives? I just haven't heard from the caseworker since last week, and I am getting antsy.

4)Someone special is having a birthday tomorrow! The big 30. I wanted to say Happy Birthday a day early!

Happy Birthday Scotty! I want to thank him for being a great husband, and supporting all of us, and for being a great dad! I hope you have a wonderful birthday! I am going to make him a Reece's peanut butter cake, and it's deadly. It's very rich. Here's the recipe if you're interested:
1 box yellow cake mix
4-5 reeces peanut butter cups
1 can Eagle Brand
1 jar chocolate syrup
1 tub chocolate or regular cool whip.
Prepare cake as directed. Mix chocolate syrup with Eagle Brand and poke holes in the hot cake. Pour mixture all over cake. Let cool. (I put it in the fridge!) After it is cooled off, crush up peanut butter cups and sprinkle all over cake and then top with cool whip.

I Love you Scotty!
