Will you pray for my friend?

Shortly after I moved to Nashville, I didn't have any friends so I joined lots of playgroups and hung out at Chick Fil A and the park every day. One day, my kids were playing in the sandbox at Old Fort Park and Camden started playing with this really pretty little girl with gorgeous blonde hair. I noticed her mom was this very skinny girl with a huge pregnant belly. I began talking to her and learned she was new to the area too. So I invited her to "strollercise" and she showed up that day. We became friends after that. She is the funniest, most honest, caring girl. She and I both have moved back to our home states and so we don't talk as often. But she is my most favorite friend in the world. And she is now a pregnant mommy of two.

I am writing this to ask you guys to pray for her family. She has two gorgeous little girls. Today, she found out she is having a boy! I am so happy for her. Her husband is a marine who has been on recruting dust for awhile and has not had to go to Iraq. They just found out the other day he is going to go to Afghanistan and he won't be home for the birth of his first little boy. I can't imagine how hard that is on her. I cannot imagine the birth of any of my children without my husband. So she needs prayers!! Her name is Kira.

I survived the first day as a preschool teacher. Whew. Those kids are exhausting and I left at 12:30.....:-) But they are so sweet. I ALWAYS wanted a house of little girls, no boys..until I became the mom of a boy. There is nothing like that bond. I love my princess, and would love to have another girl. But let me tell ya'll...the boys are so sweet in the class. The girls are too...I just think it's sweet how little boys are so rough and tough and loving at the same time.
