Whats been going on..

Wow. You never imagine how quickly your life can change in a moment. We have now been in the hospital for ten days. We have been in ICU since Friday night. This has been rough...
Rewind..Scotty began feeing sick On Wed before last. The week before Thanksgiving. He wasn't sick, but he was winded and coudn't breathe. He was in Nashville and he called me and I assumed he was panicking because he was breathing so funny. I told him to go to the Dr. there and so he went. They X-rayed him but didn't review them because the Dr. was out. The nurse said he had pneumonia and sent him on his way. She told him to go to the ER if he felt worse. He called me after he got back to his hote and he was panting. I called his friend Joey to pick him up and go to the ER. The ER dr told him he had pleurisy and sent him on his way. He was c/o chest pains and shortness of breath. They did no tests, even after he told them it was on the left side. They gave him some pain pills and he drove himself home the next morning. He barely made it home. He was pulling over about every 20 mins. On Friday, he was green and gray and having trouble breathing and he was spiking a fever. I went to work and left him there. He was miserable so at 545 am on Sat. morning we went to the ER. His chest XRAY was horrible. The whole left side of his chest was white. They admitted him immediately. After five days there, two chest tubes, and a failed aspiration they told us this was too serious for them to handle and they sent us to Baptist in Little Rock and he now has two infectious disease doctors, a pulmonary doctor, and a surgeon. He has been working on one lung for a long time and didn't know it. It could be possible related to the drowning incident before this summer. I blogged about it, if you remember. Anyhow, surgeon here decided to immediately operate and the day after Thanksgiving, he underwent a major operation. They scraped three layers of junk on the inside on his lungs. He didnt tolerate anesthesia well so he was put on a ventilator. He is now off of that, on oxygen. He was placed in ICU and it has been a roller coaster. He is not getting much better. Please pray for our family. I have not left his side this whole time except for him being in ICU and I hate these visiting hours. We have just had a rough time lately.
The Monday before he got sick, we were robbed. We had been living in our new house two weeks and I came home from work to find all three of my doors kicked in. I felt so violated. I still can't sleep there alone. Hopefully that ends.
Scotty has been very upset about money, I can't work and his income is now stopped and we just moved into the new house. Please pray for his healing so he can go back to work. He is so worried about all these bills. We have no health insurance and I am just taking it one day at a time. I can't go to work because I don't want to leave him here alone. I was just getting adjusted to my new job. Life changes so quickly. I just wanted to update everyone on what has been going on and ask for prayers. I have been too busy and tired lately to blog but have enjoyed getting caught up on reading some of your blogs while in the waiting room.
Sorry this post was all over the place, but I will update when I know more.
