Used Toys=PRICELESS

My kids do not play with many of their toys. They would rather ride their bikes, or watch a movie. Sometimes they play games or put together puzzles, but I rarely catch them playing with the expenzive toys they BEG for. On a rare occasion. Today we went to Savers to get the kids some play clothes (Yes, I do buy play clothes there!) and the kids were awed by the used toys in the clear plastic sacks for $1.99. You would have thought that was the greatest thing ever. They saved my day, really because I had shopping to do and the priceless junk I bought kept them busy.

Also, on Saturday the boys got the greatest gift ever from Chris and Tammy (Scotty's cousin and his wife). Their son, Matt (Scotty's cousin) was killed this past October in a bicycle accident. A drunk driver ran over him the day before his birthday. He was 19. You can read about it here. I am sure if you live in our area you may remember. This has been very hard for Matt's parents and sister. I can't imagine their pain. They have bought a chunk of land and they have built their dream home in honor of him. We spend alot of time their with the kids, riding 4 wheelers and enjoying the scenery. Anyhow, Chris called Scotty on Saturday and told him that he had a gift for the boys. When we got it and I opened it, I realized it was Matt's. It was a Nerf gun blaster (three of them) and the vests and ammo and other goodies. It may not sound like much, but the boys were SOOOO thrilled. They have played and played with them. They know they were Matt's, so they are taking good care of them for him. :) The boys have been so occupied with shooting each other that they have left my stuff alone. Thanks Chris and Tammy! That was so thoughtful!!! And please, remember their family in your prayers.

Ok, so I need to know. Hubby says this is tacky but the kids really loved it. It's the fishbowl sink from the estate sale. I think it will look cute in the kid's bathroom. But, who knows? I may be wrong. Opinions, please!!!
