All About Ashley

Hello! I just thought even though I have done this before, I would do it again so you can get to know me a little better. :-)This may be a little random, but that's alot of who I am.

*My name is Ashley Jo. I get called Ashley Jo, JoJo, AJ, and Ashley Jo. I am not sure what my mom was thinking with the Jo thing, but my Grandpa's name is Joel. I don't mind whatever you call me. My parents were undecided about my name until after birth. My dad really wanted to name my Scout as in "To kill a Mockingbird" but my mom wasn't too keen on it. Her dr's wife's name is Ashley so somehow that's how I was named. And that same Dr. later delivered Laiken. :)

*I have green eyes, but my mother likes to insist they are brown. She used to sing "My brown eyed girl" to me. I finally realized at one point my eyes are totally not brown, and they are green. Ha.

*I am married to Scotty, who I had a little crush on when I was about 14..and we got married when I was 20.

*My children's names are Scotty Caden, (Cade), Laiken Addison, Camden William, and I have a sweet baby girl in heaven named Ryan Elizabeth. I like boys names for girls.

*We or (I) have decided that if we are LUCKY and BLESSED enough to have another baby, and it's a girl her name will be Sawyer Bliss. I told you I like boys names on girls.

*As for the above, I am putting that in God's hands. I am not in any hurry to have a miscarriage again or to give birth to a dead baby again. It was hard going through two losses in a row. I don't care how many children you do or don't have, it stinks.

*I wish people didn't think that there is "something wrong" with you because you have lost babies. 1 in every FIVE pregnancies ends in a loss. And I don't mind talking about mine, and I don't apologize if it offends anyone or hurts their feelings.

*Burying Ryan Elizabeth was the HARDEST thing I have ever done.

*Cade, Laiken, and Camden are such blessings in my life and I thank HIM everyday for what HE has given me.

*I am extremely un-organized, and if you have tips for me, please pass them on..haha!! I am a messy person! EEEK! I admitted it!

*Laundry is a dirty word. Really. We have way too many clothes.

*We have moved TWELVE times since we have been married. And about to do it again.

*The second hardest thing in my life was watching my husband almost die. I truly lost hope that he would make it at one point, I was so helpless. I screamed and begged and pleaded with God. I can remember one Dr. looking at me and shaking his head and saying they just didn't know what to do and he wasn't sure how long Scotty would live. Those 30 something days in ICU were some of the hardest days I have ever experienced.

*I am SO thankful that God had HIS hand in Scotty because he is doing so well right now on all his medications.

*I completely love the Hogs and I am counting down to football season!!! There is nothing better than going up the Hill to watch the Hogs play on a beautiful fall day. Heck, I even love watching them on TV.

*I wash my hair.every.single.day. I shower every morning and take a hot bath every single night.

*I struggle with insecurity.

*I am really shy in person. Until you get to know me. :) Sometimes that can be percieved as being rude, so I am working on that one.

*I have ADD. I have a very hard time staying focused on anything.

*I have dropped out of beauty school before...LOL. But have actually considered going back to finish it.

*I am a reader. I love books, I LOVE TO READ!!

*But I also l*o*v*e gossip magazines.

*I love living in the South and am glad I was born and raised here. I have traveled lots of places, and I love the culture of the South.

Ok, I feel like an open book now! I believe I will leave it at that! But I would love to know all about you, too!

Happy Wednesday!

Ashley Jo,
I'm already calling you that ha....no worries all my fam and friends call me Summer Dawn or Sums...when I was born my dads bro busted in the hosp room saying I can't believe you named your daughter after a douche LOL oh yeah ha...he thought they named me Summers Eve bahhahha! I love all the names you picked out for your kiddos and I love names that can go for boy or girl...I love different names although I promised the hubs I would not go outrageous so we picked Kelcee and I spelled it different! I love that name you have picked out...I also love the name Sloan I just heard it....I am unable to have anymore children with my disease. I am totally blessed with my Kelcee. I don't know if you know this about me but I lost a baby at 12 weeks gestation and had to carry around until my body miscarried and I had to go to my FILS funeral with a dead fetus and then two weeks later my blood pressure dropped scarily low and I had to have emergency surgery it was so scary so devasting....then we lost a baby right after that at 6 weeks....We called our first child peanut so when I was preggers we never said that nor do we say that about ultrasounds now to sad. I can't even imagine giving birth to a baby that wasn't alive....you are so strong...I don't have an organized house either....LOL that you totally rocked the jean jacket vest, love that pic of you, and I totally guessed you were a hair dresser while back from your pictures..your hair always looks so good and I have a friend that is a hair dresser soooo I just figured LOL

sorry this is so long

xoxo
