Chasing Rainbows...

I have felt I have been literally chasing a rainbow for a long time. It's kind of like Katy Perry's song "Firework"...

"If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow
Maybe your reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road"

Last night was the first time I have seen a rainbow in a looong time. A real rainbow, anyways. The last one I think I saw was in Cincinnati last summer after a rain shower. It's been so hot here that this rain we got yesterday and today has been very welcome.

This was taken from my mom's front yard. She took it last night. She lives downtown and right across the street from our town's old library. It was a theatre before it was the library, so they have stripped it back down to it's original facade. I love this library. My great grandmother used to live in the house my mom lives in, and I can remember going to the library with her.

This was in front of the post office in our town last night.

It's kind of a reminder that after a storm, there comes a rainbow. I know it might seem silly to some, but to me it gives me hope. :)

I totally get it! I saw a rainbow last week for the first time since we lost Kayden...it really does give a person hope, and a promise that after the storm(whatever storm that may be)a rainbow is bound to show up eventually. :) Awesome pictures of the rainbow by the way!
