Thursday randoms

*On Tuesday, after my grandpa's surgery, my mom convinced me to go to the taco stand on Markham (if you live in my neck of the woods) and so we went.

We all know I LOVE tacos. It was all very fresh. I got a chicken burrito and it was yummy. Anything that has fresh tomatoes and cilantro is a winner in my book. I will probably go back.

*My grandpa is hilarious. He got up this afternoon to go for a little walk and his nurse went with him. His heart surgeon passed him in the hallway and said "How does it feel to be walking with such a beautiful young lady?" My grandpa looked at her and responded "It hasn't happened yet, so I don't know." This cracked me up, because it was just the pain meds talking. This is not something he would normally say..but it was still a little funny. ;)

*I heard my mother on the phone ordering a sandwich from US pizza on the phone telling them to please not put the pickle in her container because it couldn't touch her sandwich because she was highly allergic to pickles?????? This one cracked me up because she's not allergic! She just didnt want a juicy pickle to make her sandwich soggy!

*Today I took the kids to Home Depot once, Sutherlands once, and Lowe's THREE times. I think I home improvement'd them out. I think the workers at Lowe's not so secretly wanted to hurt my boys...

*I always feel guilty if I have a bad day with my kids. I don't like to vocalize it because I don't want to complain because I am so thankful for these kids. But today, well, it was awful. They have been fighting, yelling, not listening all day....and they snuck crackers in my Yukon. Peanut butter crackers. Now they are smushed all over the back. It's just a mess, right? Maybe the above is a reason why they were so bad all day?

*I was happy to drop them off for a couple of hours at my Dad's house so I could go see Grandpa.

*Jennings Osborne died yesterday after complications and 100 days in the hospital after complications from the same surgery my grandpa had. I was saddened to hear about his death. I have been facebook friends with him for sometime and he always recognized all his facebook friends birthdays. If you don't know who Jennings is, he was a great, kind, loving caring man in Arkansas. He provided lots of food at Razorback tailgating, lit Little Rock up with fireworks, and brought lots of little kids enjoyment when I was a kid as he lit up his house for Christmas like none other, for his daughter Breezy. When the city decided the traffic around his house was a nuisance, he decided to light up Disney World and Graceland at Christmas. He has poured out tons of money and kindness for lots of people. He will be missed!!!

*I am dreading moving on Sunday. I mean, I have only done it 12 times in like 9 years. Sigh.

*I wish my husband wasn't away from home. It STINKS.

*Night before last, I heard this noise. It was a buzzing sound, but I heard a sound with it like someone was knocking on the walls. I was watching TV on the couch, and thought it was a kid sneaking out of bed..but I turned the light on and saw the largest insect looking thing EVER. It was almost furry like. It was the size of a hummingbird. It was going psycho. I could not catch it and I was screaming and jumping and after chasing it for 30 minutes, my heart was racing and I was crying. I was on verge of panic attack. It went under stove and I ran to my bedroom and shut the door. I was scared it would come hit me in the head when I slept. When I woke up, I asked Cade to look under the stove and it was still there. He started swiping at it with the flyswatter and sprayed the heck out of it with Scrubbing Bubbles. I couldn't fathom the thought of picking up this gigantic thing with a paper towel so I made Cade do it. I know, right? I googled it and this is the closest I can come up with..it's in the moth family. I still haven't fully recovered.

*This week, when I have driven by Ryan's cemetary, I haven't gotten teary eyed when I looked over there. I pass by every day, there is no way around it. But today, when I looked over there and saw those new pink daisies I took her, I smiled.

*I am ready for bed, GOOD NIGHT!!!

I tried to comment last week on this but for some reason blogger wouldn't let me. Anyway, your comment on my post was so sweet. I thank you so much it made me feel better. I hope your week has gotten better. I couldn't imagine my husband being gone for a month at a time. A week at a time is about all I can take. We have done more but I hate it! OH and if we were moving I would just be hidden in a closet somewhere. Of course I do that even if he is in town. I hate packing and moving! Anyway, I hope things are going better. I also hope your grandpa is recovering good still!

I have been DYING to stop there for tacos, but I just haven't taken the time. Can't wait to try it now that I know it's good. I'm a MAJOR taco lover too!

I laughed out loud at your mom's pickle allergy story. That sounds like something I would do. So funny!

Glad you didn't cry when you passed Ryan's daisies.
