Yuck

Here's a public service announcement:
Morning sickness is AWFUL!! I have full blown 24 hour sickness and vomiting and I can barely walk..its horrible. I called the Dr. yesterday and for some reason they don't want to call me in any zofran. They suggested I take vit b6 with unisom, which is a sleeping pill and I feel drugged. And its supposed to help, but it doesn't. At all. Everything I eat comes back up, nothing sounds good, smells are making it worse, and it is just.awful.
If you have any suggestions, let me know. I'm miserable!

:( I have to WILL myself not to throw up. I just THOUGHT my sickness was over. But, alas, this morning I coughed, gagged and stared into the trashcan begging myself not to spew when there was nothing TO spew! I can't believe they won't give you ANYTHING! Were you sick with your other babies? There is a point where sickness comforts you but there is another point where you can't function with it!

Bless your heart! Is there ANYTHING they will give you? I tried Zofran, and it didn't work. I was puking 6-8 times a day for 13 weeks straight, and they finally gave me something that was like phenergen. I have heard that eating something sour sometimes helps, apparently that's why those "preggo pops" work, bc they are sour. I am SO SORRY!! I know how hard it is!!! Feel better!!!!!

I work with a chiropractor that sells Standard Process whole food supplements...if there is a health practitioner in your area that sells it... it's all organic whole foods & they make a products (chewable wafer) called Zymex & it is wonderful as a digestive enzyme that helped me greatly - if you feel like trying it.
Ginger is good for that I've heard. Wish I had more suggestions. I know how miserable that is.

Oh friend, how I feel for you! The only way that I made it through those rough months was laying as still as possible on my couch with the house as cold as I could get it, fans on and everything. Heat just made things worse (which is horrible right now for you with as hot as it is :(

I'm with The Mama about the sour stuff. Also I could stomach a lot more things that were really spicy (think pickled jalepanos on everything) and not things that were yicky and bland.

I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I hope it passes soon! My docs wouldn't give me anything either and recommended the B6/unisom mix. I took it right before bed which would help me sleep a little better, but that was about it. I agree on the sour foods. AND the spicy. Of all things, hot wings stayed down the best early on during this last pregnancy for me. Good luck!

Oh.. "ALL DAY Sickness" is what I call it. Morning Sickness is an oxy moron. ;)
I feel for you sweety, and will send prayers your way.
Maybe try the "Sea Bands." They have them at Rite Aid/Walgreens, not sure if you have those back there... but they are bracelets and they put pressure on a "nausea pressure point." I was skeptical when my dad bought them for me, but they worked and even my pharmesist swears by them.
Worth a try right?
YAY for NEW BABIES!!
