Placenta schmenta

Last week during my ultrasound ( which wasn't as pleasant and happy as I hoped) I knew something was wrong with my placenta after the tech made me drink a gallon of water and had to look at it again. I knew I had previa, not sure the grade but tried to not worry about it.

So, today my sweet Dr. called me herself (that in itself makes me happy) and told me I have a complete previa.

Usually the marginal ones move up, but the completes usually don't..if you have experience with this please share! So with my history and etc, I will now be going to a perinatologist. My first appt. with him is Dec. 20. If the placenta does not move, I will be forced into having a scheduled c-section a few weeks early. I pray it moves up so I avoid bleeding and bedrest etc..the risks of bleeding goes up the farther along I am, and I know how that can be after my pregnancy with Laiken. She told me I should be on pelvic rest and no strenuous activities. I informed her that I had already taken those precautions because of my last pregnancy with Ryan.

All I want is this sweet baby girl to make it here healthy and at the right time. I will do whatever it takes to make sure that happens!!;)

Not sure why I always have placenta problems!! Risk factors include smoking (as if) and cocaine/crack use...(um no!) and I just wonder where they get these statistics..

Anyhow, I'm off to bed!!!

I've actually known a couple women who had complete previa with their pregnancies - one of whom was my sister. She was on bedrest towards the end and had a C-section 4 weeks before her due date. My nephew came out completely healthy and is a thriving 7 year old today! I'm sure everything will be totally fine - just take it easy! :-)

Yikes! How scary! I know how it is to feel that fear after a loss such as Ryan and then have complications all over again. Take good care of yourself and take things easy on your body. Take all the help that you can get from anyone who offers. (you know the drill :)

Praying for you and your cervix! xoxox

I am praying for you and Miss. Sawyer! Oh why can't pregnancies just be simple?

Especially those after a loss.

But I am. Praying. Praying. Praying! <3
